5 self-love rituals to celebrate you this Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance — it’s about love in all forms, and most importantly, the love you show yourself.
No matter your relationship status, February 14 is the perfect day to honor philautia — the Greek word for self-love.
Because the longest, deepest, and most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself.
Here are 5 self-love rituals to celebrate you this
Valentine’s Day

Build a time capsule mood board
Think of this as a love letter to your future self. Create a mood board that captures exactly who you are and who you’re becoming. Gather images, words, and little treasures that reflect your biggest dreams and boldest affirmations. Seal it up in a box, set a date to open it (six months? A year?), and let it be a surprise gift from past you to future you, because self-love is a journey, and you deserve to see how far you’ve come.

Purge your wardrobe
Out with the old, in with the new, it’s time to purge your wardrobe for 2025 — but make it a self-love ritual. Create space for silk loungewear that feels like a hug. Light your I Deserve Sanctuary candle, pour a cup of something cozy, and embrace cleaning out that closet — because your wardrobe should reflect the abundant, radiant life you’re stepping into.

Host a dinner party, whether for one or with friends
(This also works virtually)
Plan a special night for just you. String some twinkle lights, make an appetizer, pop the nice champagne, turn on jazz music, and put on your comfiest matching set while your favorite meal is cooking. Celebrating yourself any time of the year, are important, but on a day that is reserved for love, show extra to yourself to celebrate all that you are.

Create an at-home spa experience
Dim the lights, light your affirmation candles, turn on relaxing music, and put on your Je Mérite robe. Stock up on all the luxurious products you love, whether it’s a CBD bath bomb or a high-quality hair mask, and get ready for pampering. Take a bath, indulge in dry brushing or exfoliating, give yourself a facial massage, and finish off with a manicure or pedicure. End the night with a glass of champagne or a cup of tea.

Have a themed movie night
Pop the popcorn, pour the wine (or tea), and slip into your Je Mérite — because it’s time for a movie night. Whether you’re indulging in The First Wives Club, channeling your inner Elle Woods with Legally Blonde, or in the mood for something retro and spooky with The Witches of Eastwick. Set the scene with our I Deserve Joy candle, get under the blankets, grab your favorite snack and peruse our movie list for a great night in.

Embrace your creative side
Whether a coloring book, a pottery making kit, or a virtual painting class, unleash your inner artist (or at least have a good laugh and the finished results). Not the artistic type? You can still create something beautiful by assembling a lush puzzle, building a vision board, or journaling.
These rituals are for fun, but I know this time of the year isn't fun for everyone. If you find yourself struggling this Valentine's Day, don't hesitate to reach out to friends, family, or a mental health professional for support.
Sending you love.
You'll be hearing more from me soon. Promise.
