“the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience”
eleanor roosevelt

dearest muse,
adventure is not always found in faraway lands or stamped passports
sometimes, it lives in the courage to say yes to change, to follow your curiosity, and to begin again
at je mérite, i deserve, we believe that every woman and femme deserves adventure
to live adventurously is to invite the unknown with open hands and an open heart
this week’s affirmation is a call to reclaim wonder; to walk through life not with fear, but with faith that every new path will lead you closer to yourself
enjoy!

as most week's
we start with meditation
a gentle reminder that you are not alone on your life adventures
you are supported, cherished, and held in the most loving energy that is much larger then ourselves
step into this week with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that you have a powerful network of love and support to carry you through life's adventures
feel supported in your life's adventures (guided meditation)
by great meditation

next, in this blog post, we explore our wanderlust
start saying yes to the things that excite and challenge you
it could be an unexpected opportunity at work, a spontaneous trip, or even a new connection that leads you down a fresh path
screw what you heard: you don’t need to travel internationally to lead a fulfilled existence
by oneika the traveller

next, a great podcast
it’s no secret that girls, and women, haven’t traditionally had role models for adventure-seeking and exploration as we age
even as young girls, we’re taught to "be careful" while boys are taught to "be strong and brave"
in this podcast, author caroline paul, a longtime adventurer, discusses her book, touch broad, answering the question "shouldn’t we be experiencing adventure at any age?”
one thing that is clear: adventure doesn’t have to be some adrenaline filled, death-defying act, although there is some of that in this book
no, true adventure and self fulfillment can start with a walk outside
the more time you spend outdoors and the more positive your view on aging, the happier you will be
that can indeed make you a tough broad
caroline paul - become a tough broad and embrace outdoor adventure as you age
by i could never do that

next, a powerful book
in sisters in the wilderness, theologian delores s. williams reimagines the biblical story of Hagar as a journey of survival, self-discovery, and divine encounter
through the lens of womanist theology, she reminds us that adventure is not only found in movement, but in resilience, faith, and the courage to seek freedom in the wilderness
williams invites us to see adventure as a sacred act of reclaiming one’s voice and spirit, even when the path ahead is uncertain

for this week's newsletter, we invite you to explore the documentary, sisters in the wilderness, a profound south african story of adventure that is also a journey of self-discovery
the film follows a group of young zulu women from townships and rural communities on a life-changing wilderness trail
led by guides, they immerse themselves in nature, camping under the stars in big game country
stripped of modern comforts, they face physical and emotional challenges that test their resilience and reveal their true strength
their adventure becomes a powerful exploration of personal growth, healing, and connection to the earth, highlighting that the most impactful journeys are often the ones we take inward
starring amanda ntombela, janet frangs, andile nxumalo, bongimpilo zondi, and lihle mbokazi

this week's ritual honors the spirit of exploration, curiosity, and courage
both inward and outward
it invites you to rediscover wonder in your daily life and to see yourself as the most thrilling journey of all
unfamiliar morning - change one small part of your morning routine: take a different route to work, try a new breakfast, listen to a new song; re-train your body to embrace the unexpected with joy rather than fear
micro adventure - step outside your usual path: visit a park you’ve never walked through, try a new café, explore a local art exhibit; treat your surroundings as if you’re traveling in a new city
light the candle - light your "i deserve adventure" candle; imagine its flame guiding you like a compass toward growth, freedom, and joy; let the scent awaken your inner explorer
enjoy!
adventure is a love letter to your courage
this week, may you follow curiosity wherever it calls
whether it’s booking a ticket, trying something that scares you, or finally giving yourself permission to dream again
with wanderlust and warmth,
you'll be hearing more from me soon
promise
