august wilson said it best…
"all you need in the world is love and laughter. that's all anybody needs. to have love in one hand and laughter in the other"

dear muse,
in the midst of life’s responsibilities, we often forget that laughter is a vital form of self-care
joy is not just a fleeting emotion
it’s a refuge, a sanctuary, and a declaration of resilience
let laughter be the melody that punctuates your day, lifting your spirits and reminding you of the beauty in life's simplest pleasures
i urge you to seek out moments of joy and laughter each day, for in these moments, you'll find solace, connection, and the undeniable reminder that life is meant to be lived with joy in our hearts
enjoy this week's love letter...

we’re diving into a sparkling rom-com
when a brutal breakup sparks "project upgrade," savannah sheldon stops settling and starts living
between a kitchen renovation and a very handsome contractor, savvy rediscovers that her worth isn't defined by a man, but her own happiness
it’s a "heartfelt, hopeful, and humorous" journey of body positivity, sisterhood, and finding the courage to celebrate yourself
savvy sheldon feels good as hell
by taj mccoy

finally, our film selection
often, we get so caught up in the "work" of self-improvement and fixing our lives that we forget joy is a vital part of healing
starring the hilariously unpredictable kevin fredericks (kevonstage), the show follows a "therapist" whose methods are… let’s just say, unconventional
it’s an improv-driven dive into the messy, relatable, and often ridiculous world of modern relationships
whether dr. fredericks is actually helping his patients or just making things worse is up for debate, but one thing is certain: you’re going to get the laughs you deserve
directed by richard a. washington, kevin fredericks

your ritual
laughter is the soul’s way of reminding us that joy is always within reach
it lifts the spirit, soothes the heart, and connects us to the lightness of life
this self-care routine is designed to invite more laughter, playfulness, and pure joy into your day—because you deserve it
find your giggles – watch a short, funny video or listen to a comedy podcast while getting ready; laughter first thing in the morning sets the tone for a lighthearted day
dress for fun – wear something that makes you feel vibrant—whether it’s bold colors, playful prints, or something that makes you feel like you; joy is an inside job, but your wardrobe can reflect it too!
midday play break – step away from stress and do something spontaneous: have a solo dance party, watch a stand-up clip, play with a pet, or even doodle something ridiculous; laughter doesn’t need a reason
laughter is a love language, a healing force, and a reminder that joy is your birthright
make space for it, embrace it, and let yourself laugh
in closing
laughter is transformative
it lightens your spirit, softens your body, and reconnects you to the present moment
may this week invite you to take yourself a little less seriously, to welcome joy without hesitation, and to remember that your life deserves brightness
