affirm - i deserve love, je mérite l'amour

“when we work with love we renew the spirit; that renewal is an act of self-love, it nurtures our growth.  it's not what you do but how you do it…”

dear muse,

this week, we are inviting love in all its forms

taking the time to nurture and care for yourself

love is often spoken about as something we search for, wait for, or hope will arrive at just the right moment

but love is not scarce, nor is it reserved for later versions of ourselves

love begins now

in how we speak to ourselves

how we allow ourselves to receive care

and how we choose connection without abandoning our truth

this week, we return to love as a practice

love you're worthy of, right now, exactly as you are

finally, our film selection

this week’s watch is a nostalgic celebration of love, self-expression, and choosing yourself

as one of my favorite films marks its 40th anniversary, we’re revisiting this iconic film as a reminder that true romance begins with honoring who you are

your style, your heart, and your worth

an iconic story that invites us to embrace love on our own terms

your self-love ritual

this week, we’re returning to self-love as a practice

small, intentional moments we offer ourselves: a pause, a boundary, a breath, a ritual that says you matter

set one loving boundary today self-love often looks like protection; say no to one thing that drains you or yes to one thing that restores you

curate a soft evening ritual create a gentle wind-down routine: dim lights, light an affirmation candle, slip into je mérite, turn off notifications, play calming music or cozy up with a book or movie

create a weekly self-love appointment schedule intentional time with yourself, just like you would for someone you love; no multitasking allowed

release guilt around rest rest is not a reward, it’s a right; sit, lie down, or breathe; do nothing else

self-love doesn’t have to be grand or performative

it lives in everyday choices that soften the body and steady the spirit

let this be your invitation to choose yourself, just as you are

in closing

as you move through the rest of this week, return to yourself often

let self-love meet you in the ordinary moments

in rest, in kindness, in choosing what feels nourishing

may you remember, again and again, that caring for yourself is an act of devotion

you'll be hearing more from me soon

promise
