affirm - je mérite de me sentir digne, i deserve to feel worthy

affirm - je mérite de me sentir digne, i deserve to feel worthy

“sometimes walking away has nothing to do with weakness, and everything to do with strength. we walk away not because we want others to realise our worth and value, but because we finally realise our own”

dear muse,

you are inherently worthy

and at je mérite, i deserve, we affirm this truth every single day

your worth is not determined by external factors or other people's opinions

it comes from within you

acknowledging your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments

treating yourself with the same kindness and compassion you would offer a dear friend

you deserve every good thing life has to offer

without exception

our meditation

how often do you allow yourself to feel worthy?

to feel it not just as a passing thought, but as an unshakeable truth

that's exactly what this week's meditation is here to do

whether you're just beginning your worthiness journey or simply need a reminder on a hard day, this meditation will meet you exactly where you are, and gently bring your back to yourself

you are worthy

from great meditation

our podcast

what if your worth has never actually been in question?

this week, we're passing you the mic on dr. adia gooden's

unconditionally worthy podcast

three women

three stories

one truth

the life you're longing for begins the moment you decide you are already worthy of it

our journal prompt

have you ever achieved everything you set out to, and still felt like it wasn't enough?

this week, our blog selection makes the case that from childhood onward, we're quietly taught that worth must be earned through titles, achievements, and other people's approval

but no amount of external validation can fill an internal void

the truth she returns to, and the truth we return to every day at je mérite, is that we have always been enough, simply because we exist

our book selection

somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality

one tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life

while we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself?

would any of these other lives truly be better?

finally, our film selection

what would you sacrifice to feel worthy of a seat at the table?

This is more than a fashion film, it's a mirror

asking the question so many of us quietly wrestle with:

how much of yourself are you willing to give up in pursuit of external validation?

and at what point does ambition stop feeling like power and start feeling like loss?

we're watching this one with fresh eyes this week

your worthiness ritual

rituals are a form of devotion

when you take time to tend to yourself, you are making a declaration:

i matter

my peace matters

i deserve this

create sacred space light your affirmation candle. dim the lights. put your phone on do not disturb. take 10 mins of complete quiet

the releasing bath or shower draw a warm bath. as you enter the water, consciously release what is not yours to carry - other people's opinions, the need to prove yourself, shame. if you shower, let the water carry it all away. breathe deeply. you are cleansing more than your body

the anointing after bathing, take your favorite body oil or lotion and apply it slowly and with intention. as you tend to each part of your body, offer it a quiet thank you. your hands. your legs. your belly. your arms. this body carries you. it deserves tenderness

in closing

you deserve to feel worthy

you deserve to take up space

you deserve to be loved

let this be the week you fully embrace your worthiness
